Quartz is expensive in comparison with glass and transparent plastics but has the additional benefit of covering both UV and visible regions right from 190 nm. However, it is even more fragile than glass and the cuvettes need to be handled with greater care. Fused quartz cells are used for wavelengths below 380 nm, i.e. ultraviolet light. Quartz cells provide more durability than plastic or glass. Quartz excels at transmitting UV light, and can be used for wavelengths ranging from 190 to 2500 nm.

This event can pose a danger and may cause problems during your measurements. The cuvette volume of a 10 mm square cuvette is therefore 3.5 mL, the amount it can safely hold. Traditional ultraviolet–visible spectroscopy or fluorescence spectroscopy uses samples that are liquid. Often the sample is a solution, with the substance of interest dissolved within. The sample is placed in a cuvette and the cuvette is placed in a spectrophotometer for testing. The cuvette can be made of any material that is transparent in the range of wavelengths used in the test.

The combination of flow injection with electrophoresis using capillaries and chips. Same as Type 30 but with 4 clear windows and clear bottom. For fluorimetry – same as type 3 but with tapered PTFE stopper. To process your orders without delay, please provide the required business documentation to purchase this product.
Lab4us Quartz Micro Cuvette Cell Black Walls
All our in-stock UV fused quartz cuvettes are made by diffusion bonding method. Quartz is heated to a high temperature and then adhered together by applying pressure. UV quartz cuvettes made in such method have much stronger chemical resistance and better life time than cuvettes made in other way such as being glued together. Disposable cells have a major advantage in that being single-use new from the box, they are always "clean" if stored properly.
Biochrome Scientific
Absorbance or transmission determinations shine spectrometer light directly through the cuvette to measure the amount of light absorbed or transmitted through the sample. In this measurement configuration, the opposite-side cuvette walls must be optically "clear" to let light pass unimpeded through the sample. The other two sides of the cuvette are often "frosted" to allow handling of the cell without dirtying the optical surfaces of the other two "measurement" sides of the cuvette. These are known as "two sides clear" or absorbance cuvettes. When youpurchase cuvettes for spectroscopy, you will find a diverse selection of premium-quality options.
